A Notice Savings Account is a type of savings account that requires the account holder to give written notice, in advance of making a withdrawal. The amount of notice required varies depending on the account. Notice periods typically range from 30 days to 200 days. There may also be limits on the number of withdrawals permitted each year. 
Our Notice Savings Accounts typically pay a higher interest rate than our Easy Access Accounts. 

Yes, you are able to have more than one Notice Savings Account, but you cannot have more than one Notice Savings Account for the same notice period. E.g., you can have a 30 Day Notice Account and a 60 Day Notice Account, but you can’t hold two 30 Day Notice Accounts or two 60 Day Notice Accounts.

Yes, if you are 18 years old and above and you are a UK resident.

Yes, the account can be held on your own or jointly with someone else. ISA Notice Savings Accounts are slightly different. ISA Accounts can only be held in the sole name of the account holder. Any funds held in an ISA Notice Savings Account will form part of your overall annual ISA allowance, currently £20,000. 

Yes, our Notice Savings Accounts are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), the UK's deposit guarantee scheme. Chorley Building Society is a member of the FSCS, this means eligible deposits with Chorley Building Society are protected up to a total of £85,000.
